Looking for an evening to yourself so you can enjoy a date night, while your child explores India’s rich traditions and culture ?
Join us for Rangoli Academy SF’s Workshop Nights special Friday evening cultural experiences designed for children ages 4.5–10 ! Held on select Fridays from 5:00–8:00 PM, each workshop brings Indian traditions to life through creativity, storytelling, hands-on activities, and community.
Every workshop features a unique cultural theme : from Rakhi making and exploring the Indian National Anthem, to Ganesha clay modeling, Modak making, Garba, Diwali Kandil crafts, Kite making, and many more. Children will explore Indian heritage through arts and crafts, cultural games, music, stories, traditional costumes, and festive activities, along with a fun dinner experience featuring snacks and pizza.
Workshop Nights are a wonderful opportunity for children to connect with their culture, discover new traditions, express their creativity, and build friendships in a joyful learning environment.
What to Expect
Each Workshop Night includes:

From creating traditional crafts to learning the stories behind Indian festivals, every workshop is designed to inspire curiosity, creativity, and appreciation for India’s diverse cultural heritage. Come celebrate, create, and learn with Rangoli Academy SF!
Typical Workshop Schedule
5:00 PM – Arrival & Free Play
Children settle in with creative activity stations such as Desi inspired coloring, Indian costumes / dress-up, building challenges, puzzles, and themed crafts.
5:15 PM – Welcome Circle
Icebreakers, songs, movement games, and an introduction to the evening’s cultural theme.
5:30 PM – Featured Workshop Activity
Hands-on experiences such as Rakhi making, Indian National Anthem workshop, Ganesha clay modeling, Modak making, or other seasonal cultural projects.
7:00 PM – Pizza Dinner & Social Time
Kids enjoy pizza and snacks, and time to chat with friends.
7:30 PM – Cultural Games, Storytelling & Creative Play
Interactive games, stories, music, or performing arts connected to the evening’s theme.
7:45 PM – Showcase & Wrap-Up
Children share their creations and reflect on what they learned.
