A Thoughtfully Designed Cultural Experience for Children

The Weekend Cultural Immersion Program at Rangoli Academy is a structured, recurring (weekly) enrichment experience designed to introduce children to Indian culture in a meaningful, engaging, and age-appropriate way. This program offers a holistic cultural journey for blending folk arts, music, language, storytelling & drama/theater, movement, mindfulness, and values-based learning delivered through a consistent weekend rhythm that children look forward to and parents can rely on. Every 12 weeks in the program, the students get to showcase their learnings to their families.

Program Overview

  • Time: Sundays 2.30pm-5pm (up to 6pm with additional classes e.g Language, Carnatic Music, Bharatanatyam)
  • Duration: 2.5 hours every weekend (3-3.5 hours if choosing add on enrichment classes)
  • Commitment: Seasonal enrollment (recommended for continuity and depth).
  • Age Group: Elementary-aged children (typically 5–10 years)

Children build familiarity, confidence, and cultural connection over time while developing creativity, focus, and social skills.

🌞 Welcome Ritual: Grounding the Day
We begin with a calming and energizing ritual doing gentle yoga, Surya Namaskar, and meaningful shlokas to help children center themselves, build focus, and start the day with intention.

🎨 Cultural Time: Discover, Create, Connect
A rich exploration of Indian heritage through vibrant folk art, engaging cultural stories, and our Values & Wisdom Lab, where timeless lessons come alive through discussion, creativity, and reflection.

💃 Movement Time: Express & Energize
Children immerse themselves in the joy of movement through folk dance, theater, and performing arts while building confidence, rhythm, and expressive storytelling skills.

🌿 Closing Ritual: Reflect & Reconnect
We gently wind down with mindfulness and gratitude practices, helping children reflect on their day and leave feeling calm, fulfilled, and connected.
